If you get the message ‘You’ve Been Outbid’ although your bid was the same as the winning bid this is because we operate a ‘first come first served’ system. So, although you may have bid the same price as the winning bid, the ‘winner’ placed their bid before you and therefore becomes the winner.
For example, if bidder 1 bids £7, then bidder 2 bids £8 but the increment is only 50p then the current value is £7.50 but if bidder A bids £8 and the auction finishes, bidder B will be the winner as they bid £8 first.
