For users who do NOT already have a Stripe Account, use the following instructions. For those who already have a Stripe account, please see the instructions further down the page.
To register your business Stripe account, do the following:
- Click on Account Manager on the top-right of the page on the website
- Select Account Settings on the left-hand side and then click on Getting Paid tab
- Click on Create button next to Create Stripe Profile, after which you will be redirected to a Stripe registration page
- After this, fill in your email address and phone number and click Next. Following this, you will receive a 6-digiverification number that you will need to enter on the screen.
- In the next step, you will be presented with you Stripe emergency backup code. Download it or write it down somewhere safe. If your device is ever lost or stolen, you can use this code to unlock your Stripe account.
- Enter your registered business address and select the type of business that you are in from the drop- down menu as well as a Business Structure is applicable.
- Following this you will be asked to provide your company’s companies house registration number (if required), VAT number (optional), business phone number, business website and product description.
- In the next step, enter the legal name of the person who has significant responsibility of the busines followed by their email address, job title, date of birth, phone number and then select the correct ownership structure option.
- Include the details of any other Business Directors if applicable, followed by
- Any other Business Executives is applicable.
- Enter your payout details. Please select your currency, country of bank account and enter your IBAN (IBAN starts with a two-digit country code, then two numbers, followed by several alphanumeric characters).
- In the next step, you will be asked to enter statement descriptor, shortened descriptor and an account support number
- In the Verification Summary you will be able to check and edit your given information. If everything is correct, click on the Submit button at the bottom of the screen.
- You will then be redirected back to the Icephorm Getting Paid page, where you will see the following message. “Confirmation. Thank you for setting up your Stripe account. You will need to complete your registration on Stripe by verifying your email address as well as your ID details by singing into your Stripe account.”
- Sign into your Stripe account where you will be asked to provide some additional verification information. Please select how you want to verify your ID (take a picture with your phone/take a picture with your webcam/ upload a file).
- Following this, select how you want to provide the proof of address from the given list.
- Once you have done this, click on the Done button. Your Stripe account is now set up.
- Click on Account Manager on the top-right of the page on the website
- Select Account Settings on the left-hand side and then click on Getting Paid tab
- Click on Create button next to Create Stripe Profile, after which you will be redirected to a Stripe registration page.
- Enter your Stripe email on the 'Get Started with Stripe' page.
- After this enter your password and click Log in.
- If set-up, you may be asked for 2-step verification, such as by an authentication app or by a verification code sent to you mobile.
- Enter ‘Verification code’ (If necessary).
- Select the business to be linked to Icephorm – the Stripe default is ‘Create New Business’ but if you’ve used Stripe before select the top option i.e., 'saved information'.
- On the Review and Finish page check the information and click on the ‘Submit’ button.
- After this you are returned to Icephorm and your Stripe account will have been linked.
